Valentines Thursday, Feb 16 2012 

My Valentines was great!  My husband and I also celebrated our 14th year of marriage.  I cannot believe we have been married for so long.  It seems like it was just yesterday.  We have come along way in our marriage and in miles.

This was my Facebook post yesterday.  Side Story-Last night at midnight as I was making a Valentines box and candy and cards for Gavin to take to school today.  Ashley and I were talking about what we were doing at that moment 14 years ago.  I think we were both trying to shake some nerves, thinking about what the next day and the future was going to hold.  We have come along way!  So instead of making rice bags and worrying about how the flowers were going to look and how it was all going to work, we were helping our youngest get ready to celebrate this day that means so much to the two of us.  Amazing how life changes!

My honey cooked dinner for us last night.  We had spaghetti with meat sauce and french bread.  It seems like everyone here got either Godiva or Whitmans chocolate.  Needless to say my morning at the gym was rough.  I think it was all the pasta and chocolate.  I just wanted to sleep and so did my legs.  It was nice to take a break from clean eating and just let loose a little but I paid the price.  It just shows that what you eat can and does affect your day.  It also didn’t help that I didn’t have my daily banana….. 🙂 There must be a monkey or two living here, I cannot keep those things in this house.  All in all, it was a great day.  Honey and I are going out this weekend to celebrate and pick out our gift together.

What a Day! Tuesday, Feb 14 2012 

The weatherman finally got it right.  We woke up to blankets of snow.  It was beautiful!  I have waited all winter for this.  I debated for a few minutes whether I should try to brave the roads to get to the gym or take a free day.  The gym won.  I was so proud of myself for deciding to go to the gym.  As I am driving and sliding down the road, I get over half way there and what do I find?  The road was closed.  I had to turn around and go completely around.  I arrived at the gym at 8:30 am. Step class starts at 8:15am  😦 I got in about 30 minutes.  I know I should have stayed and did a run on the treadmill but I was ready to get home and get warm and dry.

Todays eating didn’t go too bad.  I wasn’t really in the mood for breakfast but that is mainly because someone ate all of the bananas.  I had half a special k bar.  It was entirely too sweet.  But I knew I had to have something in my stomach.  For lunch, I didn’t do any better.  I had about a half of a cup of Reeses Peanut Butter Cereal…..shame on me.  But hey, I used fat free milk….lol.  For dinner, I had my Chicken Tortilla Soup. YUMMO!  My snacks today included a handful of mixed nuts, popcorn, and a couple of skittles.  Tonight was the last basketball game of the season for my oldest.  This is a good thing because now I will not be tempted to eat the popcorn and candy at the concession. 🙂

Now, I am about to drink some coffee with my hubby and hopefully go to bed very soon.  Tomorrow is our anniversary.  We have been married 14 years.  It doesn’t seem that long.  You may or may not see a post from me tomorrow!

Looking for some feedback:

Have any of you heard of Shakeology?  If so, do you recommend it?  I have a friend that is a beach body coach and has struck my interest.  I just do not know enough about it yet.
