Pinterest?! Wednesday, Mar 7 2012

To all of my friends and followers that are making progress….Way to go!

It is starting to look like I may be able to squeeze in one post a week for a little while.  I am trying to figure out which direction I want to take my blog.  Life is pretty hectic right now and I do not have a lot of time to sit down and put thoughts together.  Well, not thoughts that make sense to anyone but me…lol

We will be going to Tampa to house hunt in a couple of weeks.  If I do not take my computer, I will make sure to come back with pictures.

Yesterday, I made my monthly trip to whole foods.  A trip that normally takes me a couple of hours, only took about 45 minutes.  I left there feeling like a Whole Foods Shopping expert. 🙂  Those are the kinds of trips to the grocery store that I like.

Now to address my blog title.  Tonight, I have been on Pinterest trying to see what all the fuss is about.  Maybe it’s just me but I just cannot become as addicted as some of my friends.  Maybe I am doing it wrong…lol.  Don’t get me wrong, there are some great ideas and I have found some awesome recipes that I want to try, but I just don’t see what all the hype is about.  I am going to try it out over the next few days and I will let you know what I find…….

Until then, Have a great week and happy blogging!

And I’m back…. Tuesday, Feb 7 2012

Wow what a week last week!  I did not reach my goal to be in the gym for 5 straight days.  However, I did two hours on Tuesday so I am going to count that as extra…  Don’t judge me 🙂

Thursday, I had to make a trip to whole foods, which takes a full day.  Friday, I had parent teacher conferences.  Those weren’t as exciting 🙂

I am happy to report that I didn’t falter too much on my clean eating.  Well until the SuperBowl.  I am sure that is no surprise and I am not the only one.  We had shrimp cocktail, swedish meatballs, asian noodle salad, homemade turtles, cake, and all kinds of chips.  I find it hard to watch the SuperBowl without a bag of Cheese Doritos.  YUM!

I have to be honest, I didn’t really watch the game until the last quarter.  It was kind of boring.  The commercials weren’t great either. Madonna did a fabulous job.  I was extremely shocked, yet impressed.   I was rooting for the Giants so I am glad they won.  Next year, WHO DAT, BABY!

Well, that is all for me tonight.  I am going to attempt to get in the bed a little earlier tonight.  I will be sharing more food pics this week from my e-mealz plan.

What was your favorite commercial during the SuperBowl?

Censored? Thursday, Jan 19 2012

What is up with wordpress?  Did anyone else notice the Censor on all of the blogs?  I cannot believe it.  It has hit wordpress.  Amazing!

Yesterday was an ok today for me.  I forgot to eat breakfast.  No really I forgot.  I normally take something with me on the way to the gym but it totally slipped my mind.  Wonder if it has something to do with getting older….lol.  For lunch me and a friend went to On the Border, I didn’t do too bad but I was extremely full when I left.  For dinner, I had some Kashi cereal.  As I was eating I realized that they also make Kashi bars.  Those would be perfect to take to they gym.  I also went online tonight and looked at their website.  They have some awesome tips on how to recycle.  You may want to check it out. 🙂

Today was a great day.  We started Body Step 86.  Our instructor wasn’t telling a fib when she said this one would be harder.  WOW!  I know it sounds silly but I do enjoy a challenging work out.  There is one move in our new program that she refers to as the running man…Do you remember the running man?  I sure do.  For breakfast I had a 365 (from whole foods) whole grain strawberry bar.  For lunch I sat down with a bowl of Kashi cereal, took two bites and realized that I have red grapes and aged white cheddar in my fridge.  I love aged white cheddar.  This also came from the whole foods store.  I took a few more bites of my cereal and Yes I dumped it.  I fixed myself a plate of Grapes and Cheese.  I don’t know about you but I love grapes and cheese.  Especially the right cheese.

Now for dinner, well I guess I can’t leave it out…..My oldest had a game an hour away that didn’t start until 6pm.  As you can already imagine, we didn’t get out of there until after 7.  With an hour drive back home there was no way I would be able to make a meal for the family.  We stopped at pizza hut.  I didn’t do too bad.  I started with a salad.  I ate pasta and bread.  I am going to give myself this one because I cannot tell you the last time I had pasta from pizza hut.  It was oh so yummy.

Last but not least, my middle son has become very interested in making stop motion videos.  His goal are to make video games and work for Sega one day.  If you get the chance you can view his short clips on .  Hope you enjoy.

And We’re off! Friday, Jan 6 2012

Yes!  I went to whole foods today and got all kinds of goodies.  Even my hubby is excited to get back on the Eat Clean track!  Exercise yesterday, eating healthy today and what a great way to start the new year!  I am pumped!

My shopping list included: pomegranate, turnips, eggplant, fruit, more veggies, clean cheese, and so on an so forth.  I also got the ingredients to make slow cooker oatmeal.  I cannot wait to try this.  I am about to go put it all together and let it start cooking.  I will let you all know how it turns out.

Now, for goals.  One of my goals for this year is to get my house organized before I move in June.  I would love to continue procrastinating but that is not doing anything for me.  Tomorrow is the day.  I am starting in the kitchen.  If you do not hear from me in the next two days, you may want to call a search party……

So, I am reading this article last night about getting organized and the first thing it says is to de clutter…What?! My first question was, why can’t I just organize the clutter?  Yeah, not a good idea……so I am off to step in the morning and then to organizing.  Wish me luck!

Well happy healthy eating to all you.
